Kongwa Launches a Community Learning Center

Director of the East Africa Region and the Horn of Africa of the "DVV International" Mrs. Frauke Heinze has called on various level leaders to provide adequate cooperation to facilitate the provision of productive training at the community learning center, located in Hogoro Ward.

Mrs. Heinze said this while addressing a public meeting on the launching of the organization's - funded community center, December 6, 2022 where she thanked the Ministry of Education, the President's Office and various stakeholders for the establishment of the center.

Following the launching of the center, Kongwa District Commissioner Hon. Remidius Emmanuel who was the guest of honour, has directed the organizers of the district - based events, to ensure that there is enough representation to facilitate the delivery of accurate information to the public including involving all ward leaders.

Speaking to the public, The Kongwa District Executive Director Dr. Omary Nkullo has told the public that the center's main task will be to help provide a variety of skills including entrepreneurship to enable citizens to get rid of the economy and not to teach literacy.

In addition, Dr. Nkullo congratulated the people of Hogoro Ward for the launch of the center and urged them to use it properly and to take care of it while recognizing that it was aimed at benefiting other citizens of Kongwa District.

Speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Ms. Asha Mbwamo, thanked the organization for building the Hogoro center for the development of the people.

Ms. Mbwamo, said the Ministry of Education would ensure that all community - based facilities including Hogoro centre are working on productivity by providing them Management guidelines, managing quality of education and providing regular training.

On the other side the PO - RALG Representative - Mr.  Sedet R. Bulaya has called on the public to maintain and use the center, as the government continues to make improvements to the education systems to ensure the various efforts made by stakeholders bring about productivity.

On the other hand, Kongwa District Education Officer Mr Eugine Shirima said the Education has no end to human beings, and that the center will bring together stakeholders to discuss various challenges as in partnership with DVV - International will put enough professionals to provide training.
